Amalfi Coast
Less than 90 minutes south of Naples, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, lies the beguiling Amalfi Coast. Featuring some of the most beautiful views in all of Italy, the coastline is named after the town of Amalfi, but includes Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Praiano, among others.

Lovely romantic restaurant with a great wine list.
Da Vincenzo
A fun vibe and very central.
Tagliata
Super popular and very touristy, this spot has great views of the Mediterranean. It's perched high up on the hill of Positano. Once you make a reservation, they'll schedule a bus to pick you up from the center of town.
Da Ciccio (top image)
If you do get the chance to go to Amalfi town, I very highly recommend Da Ciccio for lunch or dinner. We were recommended by a wine friend who's wife grew up in that area, and it's a favorite of theirs. This was hands-down my favorite meal our entire time along the Amalfi Coast. It feels less touristy, the food is both comforting and elevated, and the owners are just exceptionally hospitable people. It also has a gorgeous sea view from the terrace. I've recommended this restaurant to a few people traveling to Amalfi, and they raved about their meal.
Beach Clubs
Da Adolfo
On Laurito Beach.
Arienzo
On the popular Arienzo Beach.
Both of these are a fun way to spend a relaxing day. Hop on a little boat from Positano dock, and you’ll be taken to the beach club.
Beyond Amalfi
Lo Scoglio (pictured)
This one is not in any of the Amalfi towns, but located between Positano and Sorrento. From Positano, the best way to get there is by boat. Worth it for a lunch menu that’s full of the freshest seafood. We also loved the chill vibe.
The Hotels
Le Sirenuse (pictured)
#16 on the World’s Best 50 Hotels in 2023, Le Sirenuse is fully deserving of that rank. Jutting out from the hillside, the property commands a central spot in this famous town. Boasting a gorgeous, Instagram-worthy pool and terrace, it’s the ultimate expression of la dolce vita.
Il San Pietro di Positano
10 minutes outside of Positano, Il San Pietro provides a refined oasis when you need a break from the bustling seaside town. Come for gorgeous views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, and stay for an incredible meal at their 1 Michelin star restaurant, Zass, which uses organic ingredients from their own gardens.
Caruso, A Belmond Hotel
As a former 11th century palace perched on the cliffside of Ravello, Caruso has long been one of the coastal highlights. This is proof that the classics never get old, and it’s the perfect base from which to explore the Amalfi coast in style. Their famous infinity pool is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.
Palazzo Avino
As a former 12th century palazzo, this dreamy hotel sits elegantly on the edge of Ravello. Clearly no expense was spared on the rooms and decor, with hand-made Vietri tiles, 18th-century furniture and authentic antique carpets. The property also boasts a Michelin star restaurant, Rossellinis.
Casa Angelina
For those seeking a truly unique escape, Casa Angelina awaits. Nestled in Praiano and overlooking the mesmerizing expanse of the Mediterranean Sea, this luxury boutique hotel offers a chic and contemporary ambiance. Picture gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the stunning panorama of the Amalfi coastline, seamlessly blending with the sea and sky.
Borgo Santandrea
The new, and might I add, fabulous addition to the Amalfi Coast scene is none other than Borgo Santandrea. Since its grand opening in April 2022, it has swiftly claimed its place among the top hotels in the region. Perched on the cliffside, strategically nestled between Positano and Amalfi, this gem boasts its private beach, romantic rooms, and unparalleled views of the Tyrrhenian Sea that stretch for days. What's not to love about the most significant debut in Amalfi's hotel scene in the last 15 years?

“I was lucky enough to explore this gorgeous coastline and use Positano as a base for my travels, while experiencing some of the best cuisine available. Perfect for a honeymoon or anniversary, the Amalfi Coast has long attracted the jet set, and remains one of the most popular destinations in Italy today.”
